Visit of the Ambassador of South Africa in Mauritania

The Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐌), Ms. Aissata LAM, was visited yesterday by 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐚 𝐒𝐈𝐅𝐔𝐁𝐀, 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫 in Mauritania.

During the meeting, the Ambassador expressed a 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 in Mauritania and its 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥, testifying his desire to strengthen the role of economic diplomacy in stimulating 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 between the two countries.

For her part, the Director General welcomed the Ambassador to Mauritania and briefly presented the role of the agency, as well as the various investment sectors and 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬. She also confirmed APIM’s willingness to assist South African investors in the process of discovering and setting up in Mauritania.

Both parties agreed to work together to facilitate 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 and strengthen 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 between the two countries.
