Tasiast

The Tasiast gold mine has been operated since 2010 by Kinross Gold Corporation through its wholly-owned subsidiary Tasiast Mauritanie Limited S.A. (TMLSA). Located in the middle of large desert expanses, 300 kilometers northeast of Nouakchott in the Inchiri region, Tasiast is an open-pit mine. The gold contained in the ore mined from the pits is recovered through a processing plant and heap leach facilities. Tasiast's proven and probable gold reserves are estimated at 6330 million ounces of gold

BP

BP established its presence in Mauritania and Senegal in 2017, following the discovery of a gas field which straddles the maritime border of the two countries. Since entering in Mauritania and Senegal, bp partnered with Kosmos Energy, Mauritanian Company for Hydrocarbons  (SMH) and Oil Company of Senegal (PETROSEN) on the development of the multi-phase Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) Project.

The Central Bank of Mauritania

The Central Bank of Mauritania created by Law No. 73-118 of May 30, 1973 amended by Laws 74-118 of June 8, 1974 and 75-332 of December 26, 1975, is a legal person whose organization, management, the control, powers, objectives, instruments and operations are determined by Law No. 034/2018/PR/ on the statutes of the Central Bank of Mauritania.

Mauritanie – Algérie : L’APIM mise à l’honneur

Dans le cadre de la 7e édition de l’exposition des produits algériens à Nouakchott, SEM Pr. Kamal Rezik, Ministre algérien du Commerce extérieur et de la Promotion des exportations, a adressé ses remerciements à l’Agence de Promotion des Investissements en Mauritanie (APIM) pour sa contribution à la réussite de l’événement.

En marge de la cérémonie de clôture, SEM Amine Sid, Ambassadeur d’Algérie en Mauritanie, a remis, au nom du Ministre, une plaque honorifique à l’APIM, représentée par Monsieur Mohamed Salem AHMED SALEH, Directeur de la Communication et des Technologies de l’Information.

À cette occasion, l’Ambassadeur a salué le rôle actif de l’Agence, notamment à travers l’organisation d’une séance dédiée à la présentation des opportunités d’investissement et du climat des affaires en Mauritanie, à l’intention de la délégation algérienne.

Plusieurs conventions bilatérales ont également été signées, en marge de cette cérémonie, entre opérateurs privés mauritaniens et algériens, traduisant une dynamique concrète de partenariat et de coopération économique.

L’APIM se réjouit de cette distinction et réaffirme son engagement à renforcer l’attractivité de la Mauritanie et à promouvoir des partenariats économiques mutuellement bénéfiques.
