Tasiast

The Tasiast gold mine has been operated since 2010 by Kinross Gold Corporation through its wholly-owned subsidiary Tasiast Mauritanie Limited S.A. (TMLSA). Located in the middle of large desert expanses, 300 kilometers northeast of Nouakchott in the Inchiri region, Tasiast is an open-pit mine. The gold contained in the ore mined from the pits is recovered through a processing plant and heap leach facilities. Tasiast's proven and probable gold reserves are estimated at 6330 million ounces of gold

BP

BP established its presence in Mauritania and Senegal in 2017, following the discovery of a gas field which straddles the maritime border of the two countries. Since entering in Mauritania and Senegal, bp partnered with Kosmos Energy, Mauritanian Company for Hydrocarbons  (SMH) and Oil Company of Senegal (PETROSEN) on the development of the multi-phase Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) Project.

The Central Bank of Mauritania created by Law No. 73-118 of May 30, 1973 amended by Laws 74-118 of June 8, 1974 and 75-332 of December 26, 1975, is a legal person whose organization, management, the control, powers, objectives, instruments and operations are determined by Law No. 034/2018/PR/ on the statutes of the Central Bank of Mauritania.

 الطاولة المستديرة الموريتانية–السعودية حول الاستثمار

بمناسبة الزيارة الرسمية لمعالي وزير الاستثمار في المملكة العربية السعودية، المهندس خالد الفالح، نظّمت وكالة ترقية الاستثمارات في موريتانيا، بالتعاون مع وزارة الشؤون الاقتصادية والتنمية، طاولة مستديرة حول الاستثمار، وذلك في مباني الأكاديمية الدبلوماسية في نواكشوط، يوم 08 أكتوبر 2025.

وشهد اللقاء حضور وفد سعودي رفيع المستوى، ضمّ مسؤولين حكوميين ومستثمرين من القطاع الخاص، إلى جانب عدد كبير من الفاعلين المؤسسيين والاقتصاديين في موريتانيا، من بينهم أعضاء في الحكومة، ورئيس الاتحاد الوطني لأرباب العمل الموريتانيين، ورئيس الغرفة الموريتانية للتجارة والصناعة والزراعة.

وفي كلمته الافتتاحية، أشاد المدير العام لوكالة ترقية الاستثمارات، الدكتور التاه أحمد مولود، بالطابع الاستراتيجي للعلاقات بين البلدين، مستعرضًا نقاط الالتقاء بين أولويات التنمية الوطنية في موريتانيا والطموحات الكبرى التي تحملها رؤية المملكة العربية السعودية 2030.
كما جدّد التأكيد على التزام موريتانيا بتوفير بيئة استثمارية جاذبة، تنافسية وآمنة، داعيًا إلى إقامة شراكة اقتصادية تقوم على الثقة والشفافية والمصالح المتبادلة.

من جانبه، قدّم المدير العام المساعد، السيد حبيب الله محمد أحمد، عرضًا حول مستجدات مناخ الأعمال، والإطار التحفيزي، وفرص الاستثمار والتكامل مع السوق السعودي، لا سيما في قطاعات الطاقة، والمعادن، والزراعة، والثروة الحيوانية، والصيد، والسياحة، والبنية التحتية.

وقد أتاحت جلسات الأعمال المنظمة بين المستثمرين السعوديين من جهة، وممثلي القطاعين العام والخاص من جهة أخرى، فرصة لإجراء تبادلات مستهدفة حول مشاريع وطنية محددة، بما يعزز فرص الشراكة ويدعم إقامة استثمارات مستدامة.
