IFC mission to revise the Investment Code

This morning, the Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐌) and her team welcomed a delegation from the International Finance Corporation (𝐈𝐅𝐂) as part of the ongoing revision of the Investment Code.

This mission is part of the revision of the 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 which began several months ago, with the support of the World Bank Group, and the setting up of the 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜-𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞.

It is important to underline that the revision of the Investment Code is an important reform in the efforts undertaken to update Mauritania’s investment policy, aiming to put in place 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫-𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬, while preserving the country’s economic and sustainable interests.
