From May 19 to 21, 2025, the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (APIM) co-organized the second edition of the Link Up Africa programme in Nouakchott, in collaboration with the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI), the Belgian development agency Enabel, and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Mauritania.
The initiative was financially supported by the European Union and benefited from the technical expertise of StartUp Maroc. It forms part of a broader triangular cooperation programme aimed at strengthening local capacities in entrepreneurship and innovation.
Over three days, more than 50 professionals from 20 public and private institutions in Mauritania’s entrepreneurial ecosystem participated in intensive capacity-building workshops. The sessions focused on one key objective: training trainers and transferring a comprehensive startup incubation toolkit. This included structured training templates, practical guides, digital resources, and hands-on tools to support local incubators and startup support organizations.
The programme concluded with a certificate award ceremony attended by:
– Ms. Aïssata LAM, Director General of APIM
– H.E. Mr. Hamid CHABAR, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Mauritania
– Mr. Mouad EL HARRAMI, representative of AMCI
– Ms. Guedie KANE, representative of Enabel in Mauritania
Through this initiative, APIM reaffirms its commitment to strengthening support mechanisms for entrepreneurship and fostering a dynamic, inclusive private sector.
