Visit of an IFC delegation
Today, the Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐌), 𝐌𝐬.𝐀𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐋𝐚𝐦 received the visit of a delegation from the 𝐈𝐅𝐂, chaired by 𝐌𝐬.𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐑. 𝐎𝐮𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐨𝐠𝐨, with the aim of exploring opportunities for collaboration.
At the meeting, IFC presented its 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬 for SMEs, while APIM outlined its 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 and support for local businesses.
Both parties have expressed interest in working together to 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐌𝐄 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 in the region. Further discussions will define the details of this collaboration.
At the World Bank Group, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝗜𝗙𝗖)’s mission is to promote economic development and improve people’s living conditions by fostering the growth of the private sector in developing countries.
