Yesterday, February 7, 2024, the Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency in Mauritania (APIM) held a working meeting with the Director General of the Shelter-Afrique Development Bank (ShafDB) and representatives of the Ministry of Habitat.
During the meeting, the Director General and her team presented APIM’s mandate and ongoing actions, including the revision of the Investment Code. The three parties also discussed potential areas of collaboration to support the development of the housing, construction, and real estate sectors in Mauritania, as well as the financial instruments required to promote these sectors.
💡 The Director General of ShafDB is currently in Mauritania as part of a two-day working mission. On February 6, he held meetings with the Minister of Housing, Urbanism and Territorial Planning, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Mauritania. Discussions focused in particular on ShafDB’s technical assistance to support government housing studies.
