The Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (APIM) participated in the German-Mauritanian Business Forum, held in Nouakchott from February 3 to 6, 2026, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Mauritania, Ghorfa – Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Afrika‑Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft.
The event brought together representatives from the Mauritanian public and private sectors, the German Embassy, and an economic delegation of around twenty German companies exploring partnership and investment opportunities in Mauritania.
During the opening session, APIM’s Director General, Dr. Tah Ahmed Meouloud, emphasized that Mauritania offers an attractive, stable, and secure environment for investors. He highlighted ongoing reforms, including the new Investment Code, as well as national priorities in industrialization, energy, digitalization, infrastructure, and public-private partnerships.
APIM teams presented the business climate and investment opportunities in Mauritania and addressed questions from participating companies. They also took part in technical meetings and discussions, contributing to a deeper understanding of the country’s strengths and the support mechanisms available to investors.
APIM’s participation in this forum aligns with its role in coordinating national promotional efforts, supporting the structuring and visibility of Mauritania’s investment offering to international investors.
