APIM co-hosts the National Agricultural Investment Forum

On April 7, 2026, the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (APIM), in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), officially launched the first edition of the National Agricultural Investment Forum under the theme: “Strengthening partnerships, setting priorities, and targeting investments to transform Mauritania’s agri-food systems.”

The opening ceremony brought together government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, technical and financial partners, and private sector stakeholders. The forum was officially inaugurated by H.E. the Minister of Economic Affairs and Development.

In his opening remarks, APIM’s Director General, Dr. Tah Ahmed Meouloud, reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to supporting every investment initiative—from concept to realization—with efficiency, speed, and streamlined procedures.

Day one featured key sessions on:
• The macro-sector framework and national priorities
• Sector-focused panels on agriculture, livestock, and the blue economy
• The regulatory framework and investment incentives

Tomorrow will focus on B2B and B2G meetings, identifying investment barriers, and advancing concrete investment commitments.
