On 10 February 2026, the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (APIM) welcomed a delegation from the Saudi Shura Council, led by Mr. Fahd bin Suleiman Al-Tukhaifi, Chairman of the Saudi–Mauritanian Parliamentary Friendship Group, as part of an official visit to Mauritania.
The delegation was received by APIM’s Director General, Dr. Tah Ahmed Meouloud, and Deputy Director General, Mr. Habiboullah Mohamed Ahmed, in the presence of the Chairman of the Mauritanian–Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr. Ahmed Ould Hamadi, and members of the group.
APIM’s Director of Promotion and Investment Attraction, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ahmed Saleh, presented an overview of investment opportunities in key sectors, along with the institutional and legal framework governing investment in Mauritania.
Discussions continued during a business luncheon, fostering open and constructive dialogue on Mauritania’s economic strengths, the reforms undertaken to improve the business climate, and the prospects for strengthening Mauritanian–Saudi economic partnership and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
