On February 6, 2026, the Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (APIM), Dr. Tah Ahmed Meouloud, received Mr. Reinhard Uhlig, Chargé d’Affaires and Head of Cooperation at the German Embassy in Mauritania, as well as Mr. Ullrich Umann, Correspondent of Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) for Mauritania.
On this occasion, the Director General of APIM presented the reforms undertaken to improve the business climate, the national priorities for economic development, as well as the Agency’s role in positioning Mauritania’s investment offering with international partners.
The representatives of the German Embassy and Germany Trade & Invest commended the progress achieved and expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation with APIM, with the aim of enhancing Mauritania’s visibility among German companies and investors and facilitating their access to the Mauritanian market.
This meeting is part of the ongoing activities of the German-Mauritanian Economic Forum, held in Nouakchott from February 3 to 6, 2026.
