Today, February 17, 2026, the Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (APIM), Dr. Tah Ahmed Meouloud, received at the Agency’s headquarters His Excellency Mr. Burhan Koroglu, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Mauritania, accompanied by a delegation from the Embassy.
The discussions focused on investment opportunities in Mauritania, particularly those of strong interest to Turkish investors, notably in the fields of technology, infrastructure – especially ports – as well as the establishment and relocation of industrial units.
The exchanges also highlighted several strategic advantages of Mauritania, including its prime geographical position at the crossroads of North and Sub-Saharan Africa, offering significant potential for the development of port and logistics infrastructure. In addition, the competitiveness of Mauritanian labor represents an attractive lever for industrial relocation projects and export-oriented production.
The Director General of APIM reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to support investors at every stage of their projects and to facilitate the implementation of structuring initiatives in Mauritania.
