On February 17, 2026, the Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (APIM), Dr. Tah Ahmed Meouloud, received Mr. Jean Senahoun, FAO Representative in Mauritania, accompanied by his team.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange on the respective mandates and ongoing programmes of both institutions, and to explore areas of alignment for enhanced collaboration, particularly in support of investment facilitation and the development of productive sectors.
The FAO “Hand-in-Hand” Initiative, to which Mauritania has adhered, was discussed as a strategic framework to advance coordinated action, including the promotion of investment opportunities and the mobilization of partners around priority agri-food value chains.
APIM and FAO reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional cooperation through a coordinated and results-oriented approach, contributing to sustainable economic development in Mauritania.
