On March 5, 2026, the Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (APIM), Dr. Tah Ahmed Meouloud, received a delegation from the US–Mauritania Business Council at the Agency’s headquarters.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss collaboration prospects, with the aim of further developing commercial relations between Mauritania and the United States.
Discussions focused on identifying concrete areas of cooperation as well as ways to overcome obstacles that could hinder the development of trade and partnerships between businesses in both countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to work on the development of an action plan to structure this collaboration and foster the emergence of new business opportunities.
