On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, the Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (APIM), Dr Tah Ahmed Meouloud, welcomed a delegation of U.S. companies at APIM headquarters as part of the U.S.-Mauritania Business Forum, organized in Nouakchott from October 5 to 7.
The meeting provided an opportunity to continue the discussions initiated during the Forum and explore investment and partnership opportunities in Mauritania.
APIM teams presented high-potential sectors and related investment opportunities, as well as key aspects of the business climate and the investor support mechanisms available to investors.
Discussions also focused on the questions and expectations of U.S. companies regarding project development in Mauritania, providing concrete answers and helping identify potential areas for collaboration.
Through these direct exchanges with companies, APIM continues to support the development of investment and the realization of projects in Mauritania.
