APIM in Webinar South Africa – Mauritania

The Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (APIM) participated in a webinar on investment opportunities between Mauritania and South Africa, organized by the Mauritanian Embassy in South Africa in collaboration with the South African Department of Trade Industry and Competition.

APIM’s Director General, Aissata Lam, represented the agency at this session accompanied by Mohamed Taghiyoullah Sidi Mama, Investment Promotion Coordinator.

In her speech, the General Director highlighted Mauritania’s strengths in numerous sectors including renewable energy, mining, fishing, agriculture and tourism. She also discussed the incentivizing policies put in place by the Mauritanian government to encourage foreign investment.

This webinar offered a unique opportunity for South African investors to exchange ideas and discover the economic potential offered by Mauritania as an investment destination.
