His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Republic, visited the stand of the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (APIM) during Expo Mauritania 2026, held from April 23 to 26 and organized by the National Union of Mauritanian Employers (UNPM).
This visit took place as part of the official tour of stands at this major economic event, which brings together more than 200 exhibitors and serves as a key platform for exchanges between public and private stakeholders on the country’s investment and development dynamics.
At the APIM stand, His Excellency the President was welcomed by the Director General, Dr. Tah Ahmed Meouloud, who presented the Agency’s actions in promoting investment and supporting private sector development in Mauritania.
The Director General notably highlighted investor support mechanisms, ongoing efforts to identify and promote investment opportunities, the simplification of procedures, as well as the implementation of incentives provided under the Investment Code.
Throughout Expo Mauritania 2026, APIM teams remain actively engaged in showcasing the country’s economic opportunities and the support mechanisms available to investors and visitors.
