The Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (APIM), Dr. Tah Ahmed Meouloud, took part this Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in the opening ceremony of the Reflection and Evaluation Day on outreach and consultation missions with Mauritanian communities abroad.
Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), this event is part of the preparations for the National Diaspora Forum. It provided an opportunity to assess the missions conducted with the diaspora and identify avenues to strengthen its contribution to the country’s economic and social development.
On this occasion, Mr. Moustapha Mouloud, Advisor in charge of the business climate at APIM, delivered a presentation on the contribution of diaspora investments to national development. He presented the Agency’s support mechanisms, as well as the incentives provided under the Investment Code, aimed at facilitating the implementation of investment projects in Mauritania.
The day led to several recommendations aimed at strengthening the mobilization of the diaspora’s skills and capital in support of national development. APIM is committed to actively supporting the implementation of this dynamic through its facilitation and investor support mechanisms.
