The Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania organized today, 7 May 2026, in Nouakchott, the Mauritania–Algeria Investment Forum, dedicated to strengthening economic exchanges and partnerships between the two countries.
The official opening ceremony took place in the presence of the Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania, H.E. the Ambassador of Algeria to Mauritania, the presidents of the Mauritanian-Algerian Business Councils, as well as representatives of public institutions and the private sector from both countries.
Organized on the sidelines of the Exhibition of Algerian Products and Services, the forum brought together more than 300 participants.
The program featured highlights:
— Presentation of investment opportunities and the business climate in Mauritania
— Presentation of Algerian companies and their offerings
— B2B and B2G meetings organized around seven sectoral themes
— An information desk hosted by the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania for Algerian investors
On the sidelines of the forum:
— Signature of 23 memoranda of understanding between Mauritanian and Algerian companies
The teams of the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania remained mobilized throughout the forum to support participants and facilitate exchanges.
