Strengthening Investment Dialogue between Mauritania and Morocco

The Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (APIM) received, this Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at its headquarters, H.E. Mr. Karim Zidan, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, in charge of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies, accompanied by Mr. Ali Seddiki, Director General of the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development, and H.E. Mr. Hamid Chabar, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Mauritania.

Welcomed by the Director General of APIM, Dr. Tah Ahmed Meouloud, the delegation visited the Agency’s offices and attended a presentation on the institution’s recent developments, its new strategic orientations, and the mechanisms in place to support investors and improve the investment journey in Mauritania.

Discussions focused on the prospects for cooperation between the two countries, particularly through the exchange of experience between peer institutions, the strengthening of economic ecosystems, and the identification of shared opportunities.

Beyond institutional exchanges, this meeting reflects a shared commitment to sustaining this momentum through concrete follow-up mechanisms and by strengthening bridges between economic actors in both countries, with the aim of turning discussions into tangible partnership opportunities and impactful initiatives for both Mauritania and Morocco.
