In his opening remarks, the Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritania (APIM), Dr Tah Ahmed Meouloud, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in strengthening economic exchanges and fostering investment partnerships between the two countries. He also highlighted the key role of women in driving entrepreneurship and advancing the national private sector.
APIM’s team presented to participating companies and investors the investment opportunities available in Mauritania, recent improvements in the business climate, and the range of support mechanisms accessible at every stage of an investment project.
An APIM stand is active throughout the exhibition, providing a direct point of contact for project holders and investors seeking to explore, structure, or initiate investment ventures in Mauritania.
MauriTurk Expo 2026 is taking place in Nouakchott from April 27 to 29. The event is organized by the Mauritanian Union of Women Entrepreneurs and Traders (UMAFEC), in partnership with the Turkish company ARBAH, and brings together public and private sector stakeholders, along with around twenty Turkish companies alongside Mauritanian operators.
